Dr. Edema is a prolific, influential rising voice whose insightful publications and captivating international presentations—from the halls of Nottingham Trent University in the UK to Admiralty University of Nigeria—are shaping the conversation on data privacy, digital rights, and the ethical governance of innovation.
Beyond her transformative research, Dr. Edema is a committed nation-builder. She lends her expertise as education director of the Data Privacy Lawyers Association of Nigeria as well as a key influencer in the Stakeholders in Blockchain Association of Nigeria (SiBAN), two associations where she leads and influences education, research, and policy initiatives. Her work as the innovator of Privacy Law and Practice Guide (PLPG), Nigeria’s first privacy website, a one-stop hub for privacy-related educational resources (templates, courses, podcasts, articles, books, and others), sets her apart as a key figure leading Nigeria’s digital rights space.
As a law lecturer at Admiralty University of Nigeria, Dr. Edema is an inspirational educator, a strategic coordinator of a faculty department, and the visionary pioneer coordinator of the ADUN Law Clinic, Moot Court, and Students Development Arm. She is the driving force behind student development activities such as moot competitions, student publications, and human rights advocacy, tirelessly working to bridge the gap between theoretical law and practical learning for law students.
She is, in essence, a formidable architect of the digital legal landscape, a dedicated mentor to the next generation of Nigerian lawyers, and a truly engaged citizen.
